WVU offers a large number of merit-based scholarships to incoming freshmen students. For most awards, no separate application is required. Merely completing the admissions application and having transcripts and ACT/SAT scores sent to WVU gets the process started. Please note that for most scholarships, all information must be received by the WVU Admissions Office no later than Feburary 1 of the senior year in order to received scholarship consideration. Some exceptions do exist, as noted on the individual resident and non-resident scholarship charts.
Please note that we have recently extended our deadline for most scholarships until June 1. Any new additional information to be considered for scholarship assistance must be submitted by this date.
